Since @ts-expect-error disables type-checking for the whole following line, can we extract a const midLogEvent = this.#logEvents[mid]; and only disable type-checking for that?

How about we use the ! to make assertions and disable eslint for using non-null assertions

Shall we return null no such event is found?

I just wanna make it consistant between the unstructured & structured getLogEventIdxByTimestamp, which return -1 for not found, since their return type is std::ptrdiff_t

if you think it is fine to make it to null, lmk
